Webinar Description
Cost segregation is a tax strategy that provides taxpayers long term benefits and immediate increases to cash flows through real estate and property analysis. While cost segregation is a tax-specific analysis, appraisers have skills that can be leveraged to provide a value-add to their clients. This webinar is designed as a introduction to cost segregation for appraisers, and is intended to provide a high-level overview of this practice area. We will review the history of cost segregation, recent trends, prospect identification, key components of a quality study, and other topics. We will conclude with a case study to show the application of cost segregation in practice.
Learning Outcomes
Upon webinar completion, the participant will be able to:
- Describe cost segregation scope, application, and methodology;
- Identify opportunities within existing client bases as well as prospects;
- Understand the benefits and how to communicate them; and
